When 'bidding' for a Freecycle item we always let them know that we'll be collecting using our special heavy duty bike trailer. Don't know if it's the low-carbon kudos or promise of a laugh and a spectacle, but we're usually sucessful and are offered the item! And every time Luke goes to collect something from Morecambe, he goes via the tip first to slowly get rid of the DIY rubbish that the bin-men won't take.
